Now it's a one to one ratio (with the bears)

Finally got around to checking the camera at the lower deer stand. Lo and behold, 368 pictures. Yes, most pics were of coons as expected, though one's an albino - which is kind of cool.

Turkeys came one day for about 20 minutes, and somebody's dogs stopped by once too.

Most exciting is that I have a bear at the site.

He stops by every evening at about 7:20. Looks like he's swinging through on the way to the pond to get a drink. Then comes back 20 or 30 minutes later and hangs out.

Bears aren't that big on eating corn - at least that's my understanding. But he seems to nibble a bit,and lays right in the pile like he's protecting it.

Today I restocked the site, repositioned the camera, and added a bit of honey to keep him interested.  Next week I go to Fort Smith and will try to get a metal barrel to fill with dog food and keep him interested. Hopefully I can whack him October 1st or 2nd, put him in the freezer,  and then get on with deer season.
